Worship
Seasonal Liturgies
The Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter cycles invite us to reflect upon the incarnation and the passion, death and resurrection of Christ, respectively. During these seasons, our worship becomes even more intentional than usual as we contemplate the central and mysterious events that shape the Christian faith. In particular, the dramatic liturgies of Holy Week and Easter provide the means through which we enter into the Lord’s passion, death and resurrection. During any given year, you may expect to be invited to a Celebration of Thanksgiving with other Lutheran congregations, an Advent Service of Lessons and Carols, a Taize-style Ash Wednesday Liturgy or an outdoor liturgy on the Feast of St. Francis - complete with the blessing of the animals - with our ecumenical partners in campus ministry.
