"For the Bible Tells Me So": Thursdays, September 18th and 25th

After screening and discussing this award-winning film and considering the scriptures that are often referred to during discussions about homosexuality, we will turn our attention to the ELCA's Proposed/Draft Statement on Human Sexuality. Join in the conversation as we reflect upon this proposal and prepare feedback for the Task Force.

Bible Study: Wednesdays @ 8:30PM

Each week, we will read and discuss the lessons appointed for the coming Sunday. Come to share your thoughts, to learn from others and to have input on the sermon!

New Member Orientation: Wednesday, September 24th @ 7PM

If you've found LOL/LCM to be a comfortable church home where you home, we invite you to become a regular or associate member of Lord of Light. Regular members hold their primary church membership at LOL while Associate Members are able to retain their primary church affiliation "back home." Both categories of membership allow for full participation in the life of the congregation. Curious? Please speak with Pastor Sue or just come over to LOL on the 24th. (If you can, plan to stay for the Fun Night beginning at 8:30.)

Monthly Fun Night: Wednesday, September 24th at 8:30PM

Once each month, we'll take a break from Bible study to enjoy some fun and frivolity. You never know what the Peer Ministers will be cooking up; come and find out!

Preparations for our Trip to the Holy Land: Thursdays @ 7PM in October and November

We will begin in earnest to prepare for our alternative spring break trip to the Holy Land by exploring the history of Israel and Palestine, learning about the current situation on the ground and addressing the participants' specific interests. Some outside reading will be included. A couple of field trips will be scheduled on Saturdays. See Pastor Sue for details.
